OLENA RUTH, TAX ATTORNEY

Olena Ruth is a tax attorney specializing in representing taxpayers in federal and state tax audits, collection matters, administrative appeals and the U.S. Tax Court disputes. She is actively engaged in Tax Sections of the American Bar and Colorado Bar Associations and serves as the Colorado Bar Association’s pro-bono attorney and liaison to the Internal Revenue Service. Her speaking engagements include presentations on tax matters in family law, employment tax issues, and communication with the IRS.

Her career as a tax litigator began as an attorney-student at the Graduate Tax Program’s Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic in 2010. After more than nine years of working at a boutique Denver law firm that specialized in tax controversy, Olena founded Ruth Tax Law in 2021.

Olena serves taxpayers across the United States and internationally. She is a passionate, relentless, and responsive advocate who focuses on customer service and the proper amount of aggressiveness to achieve the best results for her clients.

She enjoys teaching Advanced Federal Taxation courses at Golden Gate University. Olena spends her free time training for long-distance triathlons (3-time Ironman finisher), hiking, skiing, trail running and walking her Doberman, Rae.
